GEMEC LIMITED

Royston Solar Farm, a 10MWp connected @ 33kV project, is located at Royston, North Hertfordshire, UK, and is a community energy project under the Feed-in Tariffs Scheme. Due to the nature of the community energy projects, it was completed in two seperate phases. The first 5MWp, the commercial part, was commisioned and energised in December 2015 whereas the other 5MWp, the community half, was commisioned and energised in June 2016. In addition to the full EPC scope of work for the construction of the solar plant, GEMEC Ltd was also commissioned by the client to carry out interconnection works such as the civil works associated with the DNO substation and the installation of the cable network to the point of connection.
